Teteh dari Bandung ini di tahun 80an ngetopnya gila2an.. dan sangat identik dgn lagu Melayang nya, yg diciptakan 2D, Dian PP dan Deddy Dhukun. Suara beratnya unik dan lain dari yang lain. Atau lagu Aku Ini Punya Siapa nya, yg nggemesin n nakal. Sayang, kemudian si teteh menghilang, pdhl suaranya dan kemampuannya gw yakin masih mampu bersaing sampai sekarang.. well, as these two are rare, silakan dikoleksi, dan jadi bagian dari sejarah penting jazz indo. :)

Bintang Indrianto &Friends - Jazzy Duet

Senengnya gw tadi secara ga sengaja ketemu lagi nih cd pas lagi bongkar peti2 wasiat gw hehe..:D This is another Bintang Indrianto project with friends, keluaran Victorious Music. Yes, this is a gospel album, tapi kalo melihat artis2 pendukungnya, ternyata ada om Idang Rasjidi main disini. Toleransi beragama yang luar biasa, yg patut diacungi jempol. :thumbup:
Bintang emang jago mencabik2 bass, dan dia pernah bilang, "bassnya yang bernyanyi." ga salah emang, karena ditangannya bass bernyawa dan tampil apik.

Nah, ini album heboh. Meskipun mengusung tema dasar gospel yang menurut bintang "You could 'see'dancing fingers on the frets in God is the strength of my heart" tapi ada juga ucapan dia yang bunyinya: "Enjoy all tracks that speak in many different music arrangements that you never had before." Nah, sampai disini, jadi tambah menarik, karena ada kata DIFFERENT MUSIC ARRANGEMENT THAT YOU NEVER HAD BEFORE. Disini ada jazz etnis jawa di lagu Jalu's Song, ada jazz keroncong di lagu Give Thanks, dan yang paling heboh, JAZZ DANGDUT, di lagu terakhir Mourning Into Dancing. Mungkin ini pertama kalinya dangdut dan jazz itu sukses diblend sesempurna ini.

So, Bintang membuktikan banyak hal di album ini.
1. Kerukunan umat beragama, living peacefully in harmony in the name of music.
2. Bass itu bisa bernyanyi, dan sangat bernyawa ditangan yang tepat.
3. Bass bisa nyantel kemana2, mulai dari standar jazz, sampai etnis, keroncong bahkan dangdut!

Michael Jackson - Carousel (1982) Single

This is a real gem.. a treasure that once was dissapared. This is the song that at first was planned to be included in the phenomenal Thriller album, back in 1982. But then, since they used zombie dance as the main concept, plus the disco funk songs that listed in there, this one became irrelevant, as the only smooth jazzy song in there. So.. it's dumped from the album, and never been realeased.. at least until 2007. For celebrating 25 years of Thriller album, the song finally appear.. but hey, i got this one back in 2001, before it came out and was still rare. a really cool song, only 1:49 min (128 kbps) should not be a problem at all.. enjoy!

Pianist-composer Bob James has been a mainstay on the contemporary jazz scene from the early '70s to today. His bell-like electric piano sound made him a radio favorite and a Grammy Award winner. This two-CD set contains James's greatest hits.
